WCS Academy Mission

Our mission is to provide athletes with a recreational/educational program that allows young athletes to develop physically, mentally through soccer in order to become better players and better characters in life.

We are striving to give the opportunity to athletes in the area of North Shore, MA to improve their performance in soccer, so that they can access higher educational sport programs. Our focus is on the athletes coming from low-income families studying at inner city schools and surrounding areas. Through this program, they will have an opportunity to play, educate, and improve in this sport in order to be prepared for a higher level program and competition.

The academy’s focus is on soccer only as a sport for youth both boys and girls.

WCS Academy Vision

Our vision is to establish a tradition for playing soccer at a professional level in the area designated.

We aim towards building a leading developing model that grows the number of players who had develop a long passion for the game by giving opportunity to all players regardless of background and level, as a means of social integration. Knowing the area for many years, we are aware that there is a void for this kind of program for athletes who have talent, skills and need education of the game at a lower cost. We are also promoting the sport and its values, recognizing it as an educational tool capable of contributing to the development of the personality of those who practice it.

WCS Academy Core Values

1. Education and sport must strive together. The athletes participating must be attending school. Players must commit themselves to participate in the educational system, acquire the basic values for development and commit to the program.

2. Commitment to be there in body, mind and spirit. The team’s goals and success depends on our commitment. Each team player must participate to the practices and be prepared for the games accordingly. We are embracing the parents committed to the cause as it comes to the best interest of the players.

3. Passion for the sport. Our players share the passion for soccer and are open to evolving through discipline, education and play. They will embrace the rules of the sport, learn the drills and embrace a hard work ethics.

4. Integrity and respect – we are committed to the highest sense of integrity in every aspect of our behavior; we strive for moral character, honesty, respect and loyalty in all our actions realizing that the strength of a team is based on the integrity of its team players. Respect your team players, respect our opponents, respect the officials, respect for the game and the areas which allow us to participate. We will model respect in all our daily activities.

5. Having fun and keeping a positive mindset. We are committed to remembering that playing sports is about having fun, getting better at it and enjoying the work. Keeping a positive attitude is a must even when the result is not the expected one. The positive mindset is to be kept inside and outside the field, in the classroom or outside, in our daily lives, as a must for all types of relationships.

6. Building a team culture where we are important as a team, we play for each other and with each other. We care about each other as players, teammates and human beings. We are striving to drive each player to its maximum potential. We communicate and practice fairness, equality and non-judgmental behaviors.
